This is one excellent library, done by Joa Ebert!
The Imageprocessing Library is a set of ActionScript 3 classes designed to work simple. It comes with more than 50 filters to manipulate images and synthesize textures.
Also has excellent documentation!

Jumpeye components –
There’s a free basic version and the full version comes with 50 patterns.
They also gave a whole range of other components – menus, controls etc.
