ZK framework offers a quite a comprehensive set of UI components, windowing, scripting and many other cool features. The ZUML markup looks very easy to pickup for anyone with a bit of HTML background.
It’s built with Java and runs on Tomcat.
The documentation looks to be at a mature state.
